I remember some time ago we had a discussion with friends, can't remember exactly where it started but at some point someone asked a question - "What is your favourite movie?" Someone said Bad Boys, someone said Lord of the Rings... I couldn't choose, LotR? no, Matrix? maybe, yes? no, rather not, I liked Die Hard better, etc. etc. ...

Today, trying to fall asleep I turned on a TV, and saw a movie, that I forgot. Really great movie. I don't suppose it was one of those movies with tons of commercials, several mil $ budget, one of those remembered by millions and forgot in two months.

This movie made me think and... well, I still don't know what is my favourite movie, but I have quite different candidates:

* Pay It Forward - for showing how small move can point people (lots of) in right direction. I know, it's movie, it's fiction, it's not a real world, blah blah blah, but still I love movies with this reckless optimism

* Interstate 60 - "Say what you mean, mean what you say", or something like that. Something about truth, something about honesty, something about life, well, very much about life, and all in form of some ... I don't know a better word than misshaped comedy, something that is very funny, very disturbing and makes you think.

( * I'd like to add Lion King as a film that almost always make me cry ;])

* Patch Adams - again, reckless optimism, again I know, fiction, blah.

So, what is you favourite movie? Is it movie that you're watching most often? Is it movie that you can watch regardless fo your mood? Or is it just a movie you saw last week in a cinema and had more special effects than last week movie?
